One Early childhood because of its different cognitive functioning, has different educational needs. Indeed, theHigh Intellectual Potential, or at least the great intellectual abilities, does not necessarily imply that everything is simpler – on the contrary. Zebra children generally feel a strong sense of lag with others due to theirhypersensitivityand theirparticular intellectual functioning. About one in three intellectually young children (EIPs) would have difficulties in school or even difficulties in education.school failure. I will not go back to the importance of detecting the potential of the zebra through aIQ testwith apsychologist for HIP. Here, I will rather be interested in two very important people in the life of the child with high potential: his parents.
Having an early child at home is not always obvious (ask my parents!). However, there are several associations that help early children and their parents. Their missions are usually centred around the school system to help the child develop in his/her exceptional abilities. Not everyone has a Surpassed adult as a parent (which could simplify some aspects of understanding) but having a group, a club, or a circle of parents and people living the same mess can, I think, do the greatest good.
You will find below the characteristics of each association and their contact details.
What are the main associations for early childhood in France?
The main associations for early childhood in France are:
- LAFEHP – formerly AFEP
- LANPEIP – National Association for Children Intellectually Precoces
- ALREP – Association of Leisure, Meetings and Education for Children and Adolescents
- Zebra Alternative
You will find the coordinates of each of them immediately after, as well as some additional information. If you want to contact them, don't hesitate to tell them that you're from me.
AFEHP (ex AFEP)
LAFEHP is an association based in the Paris region. It is one of the only two that have been approved by the State (so it is serious !). They regularly organize conferences and webinars (practically one per week). Overall, it focuses on the educational support of early childhood. It is therefore aimed particularly at parents and children's professionals.

ANPEIP: National Association for Children Intellectually Precoces
LANPEIP is the first association on the subject to have been established in France. It was attended by members of Mensa, psychologist Jean Charles Terrassier and parents of children who were said to be gifted more than 50 years ago in 1971.
The AFEHP is the former ANPEIP Vesinet who split to specialize in school facilities for the HIP with the college of cedar. We did not then talk about the different profiles of HIP and those with learning disabilities remained ignored.
LANPEIP has stopped talking to families so that every child HIPwhatever its needs and socio-cultural origin, is recognized and cared for within the institutions.

Conclusion
As we have just seen, several associations and groups exist to help early children who have difficulties and their parents. Doubt is not experienced by everyone in the same way, and I think we have a huge chance that these federations exist. If your child has certain characteristics of precocity, here is what I recommend:
- Take a first test to verify your gifted young man's potential. To this end, I have created a early childhood test.
- If you "successfully" on the previous questionnaire, take an intellectual quotient test with psychologists. It is, to this day, the only way to ensure completely the high intelligence of your zebra child.
- If your child is diagnosed as early by psychometric assessment, he or she has difficulties in school, or you have questions about his or her particular educational needs, then go to one of these associations.
