Hello!

I propose that we take a test today to know if your child is gifted. Just watch the video below.

Lets go!

Early childhood test results

Before we interpret these results in more detail, I allow myself a little clarification. The limit of more or less 15 points was taken on the basis of the other psychological tests and writings on which this questionnaire is based. It remains mostly arbitrary. So I invite you to imagine a kind of buffer zone between 12 and 18 points for example. If your child gets a score within this range, his or her precocity is not demonstrated. On the other hand, the higher the score, the more likely your child is to have high intelligence.

Positive precocity test: your child is early (over 15)

Your child has a developed sense of humor and has a strong tendency to play with words. He gets bored quickly, and you sometimes feel it elsewhere, in his thoughts, "in the moon". Despite this distant air, he can intervene in a very relevant way in a discussion and amazes by the level of his reflections.

Early childhood is curious. He asks original, varied and sometimes staggered questions. He likes to understand everything. Overall, he is passionate about "great ideas" such as the universe or the limits of time and space. He likes to consult encyclopedias and dictionaries to satisfy his curiosity. Only his interests vary. He is passionate about many things, but often changes his passion. It's volatile. When he plays, he likes complicated and strategic games. Besides, he often wins them!

The sensitivity of the zebra child is exacerbated. It is hypersensitive, even hyperesthetic. Even if he is rather lonely and prefers to work alone, he has a strong need for recognition. His early interests make him prefer to chat with older people. He quickly judges others, but is at the same time very sensitive to injustice.

Finally, your child has special learning methods. Overall, he learns quickly and easily, but does not support learning without context, "bewitly". Moreover, he prefers complex activities because he tends to concentrate deeply on them, unlike simple activities where he is distracted because not interested. He needs to be constantly stimulated not to get bored. Finally, he is ahead on some points, such as reading learning or vocabulary level.

Negative test: your child does not look early (score less than 15)

The result of this Precocious Child Test does not seem conclusive. However, as I mentioned at the beginning, this is only an indication, not a reliable data. If the score is between 12 and 15, doubt is allowed. On the other hand, if you have a result of 2, I don't think that doubt is the cause of any problems.

Why is it important to test your child's precocity?

The intellectually early children have a particular cognitive functioning, it is moreover the subject of this site. This may require educational adaptations – or at least potential help – to manage the particular skills of these gifted children.

You know the usual clichés that would detect small zebras in the school system. On the one hand we have the gifted students who have difficulties in school or are in a very good situation.school failure. On the other hand, we have children with high potential who would succeed in everything, with exemplary notes and class jumping. It is true that the gift can explain these situations. Nevertheless, many early students do not find themselves there. Moreover, this is why the questionnaire you have just passed does not focus too much on the child's academic performance, but mainly on his or her interests, his or her effectiveness, or his or her attitude.

These gifted young people, though based on the mass, also have special needs. Their intellectual functioning is also different, even if they seem to adapt better during their academic career. I remain convinced that many early children suffer from their differences, while remaining anonymous and incomprehensible. I hope to give you, parents, the keys that will realize the importance for the child to understand his potential. But before you understand the potential, you have to test it. At least test it true. For this, there is only one method: the IQ test. That's the whole subject of the next game.

How to evaluate the early child following this test?

If you get a satisfactory result for this Precocious Child Test, I recommend that you quickly refer to psychologists in order to pass a real test of intellectual quotient. Testing the potential is really the best thing to do to accompany the child and help them grow. Indeed, identifying children with high potential – and if possible quickly with early discovery – allows them to better understand each other. I know what I'm talking about: I was detected at 17. I was in the incomprehension of my difference throughout my schooling, to finish high school by finally being able to put a name on what was happening. It did a crazy good thing. Today, I push all those who doubt to go through IQ tests (although moderately reliable, but this is another subject) for know.

Understanding the potential now allows me to be a adult zebra. This is all I wish you, your child, or the person around you who might be concerned with these lines.

Conclusion of the Connect The Dots precocity test

To conclude, this gifted child test, like all the other questionnaires you will find on the internet, will not give you completely safe answers. Only a psychologist can, by means of a psychometric assessment (aka IQ test). The purpose of these questionnaires is to guide you on the path of the gift. Overall, you will "success" or "fail" similarly depending on the site. I don't like the notion of success or failure, because it's not about that. But as we take from the beginning the idea of a score, it can make sense.

In addition to my previous infographic, here is the next one that describes the behaviour of an early child. This is the description made a little earlier when the test results were announced.

Hello! I'm Paul. I come out of many years of international business studies that have brought me to a few years of experience in management and events and the creation of a company. What I love most is to experiment and test new things, understand what's going on. So I've always been very curious, read and learn a lot. In order to share my passion for personal development, I decided to create Connect The Dots (CTD). Good reading!
