Hola! Today we're going to do a live gift test! If you wonder if you are a person with a High Intellectual Potential This will give you a first answer. Without this knowledge of your particularity, you will never use the right techniques and methods to live a happy and fulfilling life.

My name is Paul and my high potential was detected more than ten years ago now. Today I share on Connect The Dots what I have learned to help those who wish to develop with their gift.

NB: This article is the transcript of the above video.

Detect high potential

And here we go. Before going further I wanted to explain the context of this approach. For whether a person has a high potential we can do eitheran IQ test(and one must have an intellectual quotient that is greater than or equal to 130), or make an approach that is called "clinical". It's that approach we're gonna watch in this video.

In fact what happens is that the IQ test (even if overall it is super well done) is not 100% safe. Already the definition of intelligence differs according to the countries in the world. If everyone doesn't agree on what we're trying to measure, the tool for measuring this intelligence will be different depending on where we are positioned. Then, the IQ test is divided into several subtests called subtests. There is one that is a language test. We call him the verbal IQ. If we pass the test in a language that is not our mother tongue, we can be disadvantaged while our intelligence has not moved. Then the test is sensitive to our level of fatigue or stress. And finally there is a part of the result that is related to the appreciation of the (of) psychologist with whom we pass the test.

In short, these four elements make it possible to have different results each time you pass the IQ test. That's why today I'm going to talk about the clinical approach.

Presentation of the high-potential test

Very crudely, it is a discussion with a shrink or a specialist and is supposed to notice particularities of high potentials. For that, Monique de Kermadec, in his book called "The Adult Surpassed to the Conquest of Happiness" proposes a kind of small test to see if we have the characteristics of the high potentials. It's this test we're gonna do. It is composed of 17 statements. I'll tell you sentences, situations, assertions, and you'll have to put yourself yes +1 saying it fits you. If it doesn't fit you, if this statement doesn't get close, it doesn't match you, then you have zero point.

High-potential live test

I'll give you two minutes to get a paper and a pencil, or open a Word document or whatever you want because I'll tell you the 17 sentences and you'll have to write down 1 point or 0 point each time. And in the end we'll add up the score and tell you how to interpret your result. Are you ready? At worst put the video on hold if you're not, I'll start!

1. High potential adults (HP) are perfectionists who tend to place the bar always very high, for themselves and for others

Then the first: adults with high potential are perfectionists who tend to place the bar always very high for themselves and for others. So if it fits you, if you feel perfectionist, and you still want to put the bar very high, if it fits you +1. If it doesn't fit you and you're generally not very perfectionist, you leave 0.

2. The HIP are more sensitive to personal challenges than to societal rewards

Second, they are more sensitive to personal challenges than to societal rewards. So for example if you place more emphasis on the challenges you put on yourself, personal goals, things like that, than the rewards of society (this can be a degree, a social status of things, etc.). So if it's you +1, if it's not you 0.

3. The gifted are concerned about mystical questions, the search for truth and the discovery of a meaning to life.

Third question they are concerned about mystical questions, the search for truth and the discovery of a meaning to life. So here it's going to be if for you truth, justice and true things are more important than hurting people. Or if everything you do needs meaning. You do nothing at random, and nothing for nothing. You want everything to be justified. If it matches you +1. If it doesn't match you 0.

4. Zebras are outraged by injustice, have strong moral convictions and a great sense of integrity.

Fourth point: they are outraged by injustice, have strong moral convictions and a great sense of integrity. Same if it matches you 1. If it doesn't always match you 0.

5. Zebras are able to defend their views and ideals ardently

5th point: they are able to defend their views and ideals ardently. If it fits you 1, if it doesn't match you 0. When you have an idea in mind, or you're sure of yourself, are you ready to fight crazy to defend her? For what's right for you? For your ideal?

6. HP sporadically need contemplation and loneliness

Six: they sporadically need contemplation and loneliness. Does this happen from time to time to need a time alone, to rest alone, and also to contemplate a situation, to study it. If it fits you 1, if it's not you 0.

7. They feel their sensory environment exacerbated

7: they feel their sensory environment exacerbated. So this has to get a little closer to the point.hyperaesthesia. It's the five senses that are crazy (view, hearing, smell, taste, and touch it). For example, to touch it, it can be labels of clothes that bother a lot, the seams of socks that force them to wear backwards. For the view there is often brightness which is very embarrassing. Or small noises in hearing. So if you are very sensitive, too sensitive to what should be, at least more than average: +1. If you are on average: 0.

8. Their lack of confidence in them often leads them to self-destruct, self-criticism, or even self-denigration.

8th point: their lack of confidence in them often leads them to self-destruct, self-criticism, or even self-denigration. Always the same: + 1 or 0 depending on whether you recognize yourself in this sentence.

9. In general, the adult at High Potential, aged 35 years, has rarely been particularly successful

9: In general, adults with high potential, aged 35, have rarely been particularly successful. So this sentence can be answered if, logically, we are at least 35 years old. This is not my case, so I tried to take it now, as close as possible as I am 35 years old. But after you see and interpret it a little as you wish. If you're over 35 so much better, you're doing the right thing. If you're under the age of 35, well improvise!

10. It has a hyper-perception of the five senses and a gift of lucidity

10th point: the high potential has a hyperperception of the five senses and a gift of lucidity. So the gift of clarity is what I'm talking about on the blog. That's what I called it.extra lucidity. It's actually a mixture between the brain that thinks all the time and boils and hypersensitivity of our senses and how we feel. And all this usually gives you hyper-lucidity, extra-lucidity on the world. That is to say, we see him as he is. For example as soon as you're a child, finally the young Early childhood will soon lose his naivety as a child. He's gonna realize death, disease, war things like that. He's going to take a turn of maturity at once and that's what's called "extra lucidity." So if it matches you: +1. If it doesn't match you 0.

11. The gifted is clumsy in society, and very clumsy in public interventions

11: he is clumsy in society and very clumsy in public interventions. Then the sentence speaks of itself. I'll give you two minutes to remember if you think you're a clumsy person. Not "bad" in the sense "I drop the cup as soon as I take it". Rather "bad" in social relations.

12. Equipped with a spirit of synthesis and immediate understanding, a magical thought, it also has an exceptional ability to reason, and a marked taste for reasoning

12: it is endowed with a spirit of synthesis and immediate understanding, magical thinking, and it also has an exceptional ability to reason and a marked taste for reasoning. Overall it looks like a description of the left brain, finally of what is said about the left brain rather. So the same if it's worth +1, if it's still not you: 0.

13. The HIP never lost his thirst to learn

13: He never lost his thirst to learn. Does (for example) if you have finished school, studies, university, do you continue to learn all the time? Or is it school is over, we don't talk about it anymore, now I know all that is to know and life continues? And if you still haven't finished school then you're still learning and you can imagine rather do you learn other things for you out of school? Do you have this curiosity and desire to learn and understand more about the world?

14. The high potential manifests an attraction for complexity and difficulty in the choice of problems to be solved, the elaboration of abstract thoughts, a broad vocabulary and a very great independence of mind

14: they show an attraction for complexity and difficulty in the choice of problems to be solved, the elaboration of abstract thoughts, a broad vocabulary and a very great independence of mind. Here, is it overall that you are more excited and more attracted to the complicated problems where there is a work of reasoning to do? Do you tend to think out of the box? Find different solutions and solutions that are unique to you? Is that you? +1 or not: 0.

15. He suffers from hypersensitivity, passionate feelings and compulsive affections, and often introversion

15th statement: High potential suffers from hypersensitivity, passionate feelings and compulsive affection, and often introversion. So here it's from theEmotional hypersensitivity (not sensory as we had seen before). It's to have the heightened feelings, ups, downs, all stronger, all the time. And is introversion a rather introverted or extraverted person? Does this description fit you? Yes or no?

16. Though endowed with empathy and compassion, he suffers from confinement and loneliness

16th statement (before last courage it is soon!) Although endowed with empathy and compassion, the high potential suffers from confinement and Solitude. Are you a rather empathic person? You can feel the emotions of the people around you. Do you show compassion? In spite of that (this connection you have with them) you feel alone. If it matches you +1, otherwise 0. Always the same.

17. He tends to question and challenge authority, to be anticonformist

And finally we finish: the high potential tends to question and challenge authority, to be anticonformist. Is for you authority something that you often question? Is the authority always right because it's the authority? Or does being authority not necessarily make him right in your opinion? And do you tend to make your own rules and not comply with that authority just because it's authority and because society tells you it's like that?

Results

All right, we're getting to the end. I'll give you a few seconds to add up your points. You must drop a score between 0 and 17. If you don't get any more weird. If you've done less again!

Less than 8 points

So if you have less than eight points a priori you are not a person with high potential. You are rather what is called neurotypical, or normal, or average.

Between 8 and 12 points

If you have between 8 and 12 then it is possible that you have potential that is untapped and sleepy, that sleeps in you. For this I invite you to continue exploring the universe of gift, gifted, high potential or even hypersensitivity to see if you recognize yourself in other points, if the reasoning matches what you are, and because potentially something happens. If you are, you are in the right place!

Over 12 points

And finally if you have more than 12 points according to Monique de Kermadec you are a person with high potential. You really need to be able to focus on your gift to, if you find out, really understand how it can interact with you and what it involves in your everyday life.

Overall know that if you have between 8 and 17 points (from 8 points) I have made an ebook that is free for the moment you can download. I'll email you.
